Terri L. Smith, Director of Development
Terri L. Smith was born in Bay City, Texas and moved to Anchorage in 1976. She graduated from Robert Service High School and received her Associate Degree of Science, Major: Paralegal from Alaska Junior College and continued her education in the Business Organization bachelor degree program through the Alaska Pacific University.
Terri worked in the real estate and construction industry before entering the legal field in the late 80’s. Terri is the President of Alaska Legal Assistance, Inc. where she is a contract civil litigation paralegal. Terri’s legal background areas are in insurance defense, product liability, construction, environmental, real estate, employment and family law.
Terri provides countless hours of pro-bono legal work in the community and as a Court Appointed Special Advocate for abused and neglected children in our state. Terri is also very involved with the Drug & Alcohol programs within the community and has volunteered countless hours in various hockey, school and community events.
Terri is married to David Smith who works as a Consultant to Chevron USA. She has two sons, Dustin, (25) who lives in St. Paul, Minnesota and Bradley (20) who attends the University of Connecticut.
