Bettsie Wild, Executive Director
Bettsie Wild was born and raised in Anchorage and graduated from Dimond High School in 1984. She received further education at UAA in Anchorage and at the University of San Diego. She later received training as a Child Custody Investigator here in Anchorage and as a Family Mediator in Chicago, IL.
Bettsie is a family mediator for divorce and custody in Anchorage and focuses her practice on helping the parties “Remember the kids … an outcome everyone can live with.”
Bettsie has volunteered hundreds of hours as a Court Appointed Advocate for abused and neglected children in our community. She has also provided countless hours of pro-bono legal work in our community.
She has volunteered many hours over the last twenty years in other non-profit organizations such as Mustang Hockey Association, Pop Warner Cheerleading, local food drives, Stand Down (for homeless Veterans), and other community events. Through her years with Mustang Hockey, she served on the board of directors for eight years and serving her last role as the President of association. Bettsie also served on the board of directors for the Alaska Legal Assistants Association, also with her final role serving as the President of the association.
Bettsie is married to Rodney Wild, who graduated from Chugiak High School and both attended and played hockey for UAA. Rodney now teaches history and coaches hockey at Chugiak High School. They have four children: Bryan, age 20, Miranda, age 15, Lena, age 7, and Talon, age 4.
