Art Contest for Kids
Making a Difference With Art
How can your artwork make a difference in the life of a disadvantaged child? It can make a difference when it is selected as a winner in Dare to Care’s annual “Help Feed the Children” art contest for kids. Dare to Care will be using winning drawings for their web site, designing of a pin, t-shirts and other chosen merchandise, and some designs will be framed and sold at fundraising events.
This is the first annual Art Contest in which designs created by children will be selected as winners from entries around the state. In this statewide contest managed by Dare to Care, five winners will be selected. Prizes include:tickets to the Bow Wow Back to School Concert (Sullivan Arena on Sept. 23) to the top three entries; and H2 Oasis tickets to two other contestants.
All contestants will be eligible to win the chance to have their designs featured on future Dare to Care merchandise. All students whose are work is selected to be featured at the upcoming February GALA at the downtown Marriott will receive free tickets to the event for them and their parents ($150.00 value). The child's first name, age and original title of the design will also appear on the web site and on the selected merchandise. Note: Winning artwork is not guaranteed to appear on Dare to Care products. No additional royalties or fees will be paid if used on Dare to Care licensed merchandise.
About the Art Contest
This will be a yearly contest and all winners will become part of the Dare to Care Children’s Art Library.
You don't have to be the best artist in your school to have your design selected. Winners are chosen based on a number of criteria, and superior drawing skills is not necessarily one of them. Dare’s judging panel will be looking for unique, colorful photos/designs that represent Dare to Care’s mission statement and will bring a smile to someone’s face.
